System requirements

Windows 10, Windows 11, or Windows Server 2019/2022/2025 (x64)
~250 MB disk space for the service plus storage for readings database
Network access to your meters (BACnet/IP UDP 47808 and/or Modbus TCP 502)
Administrator account on the target machine to run the installer

Installing

Run the downloaded .exe as administrator. Windows SmartScreen may warn — choose More info → Run anyway; the installer is not Authenticode-signed yet.
The installer registers a Windows service (CLAEnergyMonitor), generates a self-signed HTTPS certificate, and creates a database under %PROGRAMDATA%\ClearLogicAssist\EnergyMonitor\.
Initial admin password is written to %PROGRAMDATA%\ClearLogicAssist\EnergyMonitor\admin-initial-password.txt — only readable by Administrators.
Open https://<machine>/ in a browser, accept the self-signed certificate, log in as admin.
Drop your license file as %PROGRAMDATA%\ClearLogicAssist\EnergyMonitor\license.lic and restart the service to lift the unlicensed 1-meter cap.
