**What it is:** Velopack update server distributing the Windows desktop **CLA Energy Monitor** app.

**How it runs:**
- Apache vhost: `ssl-updates.clearlogicassist.com.conf`
- DocumentRoot: `/var/www/updates.clearlogicassist.com/`
- Directory listing enabled (`+Indexes`); `RELEASES` file served with `text/plain` no-cache (Velopack protocol).

**Code location:** `/var/www/updates.clearlogicassist.com/energy-monitor/`
- `manifest.json` — latest version metadata (version, release date, URL, SHA-256, patchableFromVersions)
- `index.html` — self-updating landing page (fetches manifest.json + shows download)
- `0.1.x/` — versioned dirs with `cla-energy-monitor-setup-X.exe`, `…-full.zip`, `…-patch.zip`, `.sha256` sidecars
- `installer/` — symlinks to latest installers
- 21+ versions tracked (0.1.1 → 0.1.21.1 as of 2026-04-28) — rapid iteration

**Manifest schema:** `latest`, `released`, `downloadUrl`, `sha256`, `minimumFromVersion`, `fullDownloadUrl`, `fullSha256`, `patchDownloadUrl`, `patchSha256`, `patchableFromVersions[]`.

**Operations:**
- Deploy: create `0.1.x/`, upload `.exe`/`.zip` + `.sha256`, edit `manifest.json`.
- Verify: `Get-FileHash` (Windows) / `shasum -a 256` (Unix).
- Rollback: change `manifest.json` to old version.

**Onboarding prompt:**
> Update server for **CLA Energy Monitor** (Windows). Static Apache hosting. To release: drop installer + zips + .sha256 into `energy-monitor/0.1.X/`, then update `manifest.json`. Clients self-update via Velopack on the `RELEASES` file (`text/plain`, no-cache). The app source itself lives on a different machine — only releases are here.
